better together: why massage & chiropractic care work well together

Massage therapy can be the missing piece in your recovery after a car accident. When combined with chiropractic care, it helps relax tight or injured muscles, supports the soft tissue around proper alignment, and helps your muscles, joints, and spine work together more comfortably.

Benefits Of Combining Both Therapies

Helps adjustments last longer.

Tight or stressed muscles can pull the body out of alignment. Massage helps relax those muscles so adjustments may hold longer.

Makes adjustments more comfortable.

After an accident, muscles can feel stiff, guarded, and sensitive. Massage warms and loosens the tissue, helping chiropractic care feel easier and more effective.

Supports whiplash recovery.

Auto injuries can cause painful knots, stiffness, and scar tissue. Massage targets these areas to improve flexibility and reduce lasting tightness.

Adds pain relief.

Chiropractic care can reduce nerve pressure, while massage calms the nervous system and eases muscle spasms. Together, they may support faster, fuller relief.

How We Work Together

I work directly with your chiropractor to review your plan, target muscles contributing to discomfort or misalignment, and monitor your progress.

Before each session, I document your progress so your care stays coordinated and you can focus on healing.

PIP Billing & Referrals

As of 2026, I accept PIP and can bill directly for massage therapy with a referral from your primary treating physician or chiropractor.

If you believe massage therapy may support your recovery, please discuss it with your chiropractor. If they agree it is appropriate for your treatment plan and do not offer massage therapy in their office, they may send a referral to my business email at prointbodywork@gmail.com.

Please note: A referral from your chiropractor or primary treating physician is required for PIP billing.
